The goal of ParadigmCafe is to showcase the experiences, interests, opinions, talents, and achievements of contemporary Muslims. We are looking to educate people about Islam and the Muslim World. Therefore our articles cover the following range of topics: Islam, Reviews, Arts, Health & Fitness, Lifestyle, History, and Current Events.
Description of Categories
Islam – Articles dealing with Islamic teachings and principles, Hadiths, and Qur’an
Reviews – Reviews of books, movies, and music. We are looking to provide reviews of books, movies, and music that were either produced by Muslims or deal with issues that are of interest to the Muslim World.
Arts – This section will feature artist profiles, short stories, poetry, illustrations, and cartoons
Blog – Editor’s blog
Health & Fitness – Articles dealing with health and fitness
Lifestyle – This section will feature articles in the following areas:
History – Articles dealing with important historical figures in Islam, and Islamic civilization
Current Events – Will feature what is currently in the news, editorials, and opinion pieces
Featured Article - In every issue we will feature one article that we believe really captures the goals of ParadigmCafe
Photo Journal – Showcase the photography talents of new, amateur, and professional photographers.
Featured Blog – With every issue, we will showcase a different ‘Muslim Blogger’.
Article Guidelines
We are looking for articles ranging in length from 500-1200 words, and that will fit into one of the categories mentioned above. Please note that any article submissions that do not fit into the aforementioned categories are still welcomed, as they may be used for our cover story/featured article. Please note that we are looking for previously unpublished work only.
When submitting your article:
· Please specify in the subject heading of your email, the category for which your article is intended.
· Please include a brief biography of yourself, as we would like to include it at the end of your article. If, however, you would like your work published anonymously, please specify that in your email.
· Please ensure that all quotes are properly cited, all reference work is properly sourced, and all acronyms are properly defined.
· Please do not submit photographs/illustrations with your contribution. However if you do have any images that you would like to include with your article, please state that in your email. We will request these images if necessary.
Editorial Points & Ownership
All text will be edited for grammar, style, and consistency. The author retains first rights to the work, however ParadigmCafe retains the rights to the article piece as it appears in the magazine. Permission to reprint is given freely, as long as the author and ParadigmCafe are credited. A submission implies acceptance by writers of these terms.

If you have a blog or know of a blog that is worth featuring, please send us a link to the site. For all photography submissions, please send us the images (between 4-10 pictures) in a zipped file, or if you already have a gallery set up online, please send us the link.
